Compare bulletproof helmets

Protection Group Denmark sells various types of bulletproof helmets.

They all protect against the same types of shots and live up to the same standard. The difference is in the details about which cut the helmet has, which retention system it uses, how many foam pads it uses and how good the possibilities are for adding extra equipment on the helmet.

We have gathered our helmets here so you can easily compare them with each other.

The difference between the bulletproof helmets are:

  • The ARCH helmet is the most popular bulletproof helmet because it is both high cut, uses BOA Fit tensioning system, has many foam pads and has rails / front mount.

  • The MICH helmet is similar to the ARCH helmet, except that it is low cut.

  • The SOF helmet has a high cut just like the ARCH model and is cheaper.

  • PASGT is a standard helmet that protects just as well as the ARCH helmet. We offer to write "press" on. That is why it is also called the journalist helmet.

  • The MICH2000 helmet is a cheap standard helmet, which protects well. The difference between this and the PASGT helmet is that the MICH2000 has space under the helmet for built-in communication equipment.

Different expressions are compared in the table, which you can read the explanation of here:

  • V50 / STANAG 2920 is the fragment value, which indicates the extent to which the helmet stops fragments and splinters. All helmets meet NATO's standard for testing bulletproof materials.

  • The weight is stated without rail, shrouds and fitted additional equipment.

  • Cut: Low cut covers the ears, but can make it difficult to use hearing protection or communication equipment. High cut keeps the ears free, so it is easy to use hearing protection and communication equipment at the same time.

  • Clamping system: BOA Fit consists of a rotary knob, which makes it easy to get the helmet to fit in just the right way.

  • Memory Foam Pads: The more foam pads, the more comfortable it is to wear the helmet.

  • Rails / front mount: Rails are rails on the side of the helmet and front mount is the front mount. If the helmet has these two characteristics, it is possible to mount a large number of extra equipment on the helmet, so you do not have to have it in your hand or on the uniform.
