Size guide for bulletproof & stab-proof vests
Finding the right size for a bulletproof vest requires accurate measurements and consideration of how the vest will be used. Ensuring the vest fits properly around the chest, waist, and torso while providing full protection of vital areas is essential for optimal performance. A bulletproof vest covers the sides and length of the upper body down to the navel, to protect the most important organs. Our unique Pyramid Panel solves this. It is designed to maximize the area of protection while giving you unsurpassed mobility, with the ergonomic aspect in focus. Finding the right size for a bulletproof vest is critical for ensuring optimal protection, comfort, and mobility in high-risk environments.
Below is a guide on how to find the right size for a bulletproof vest.
Guide: Which size should your best be?
Step 1. Get a tape measure
The first step in finding the correct size for a bulletproof vest is to take accurate measurements of your body. This process requires a measuring tape, and it’s best to take the measurements over a thin layer of clothing to ensure accuracy.
Step 2. Measure your body
In order to find the right size, you need to wrap the measuring tape around your abdomen at the navel. We need the circumference at the waist. Measure around your natural waistline. The tape should be snug but not too tight.
Step 3. Choose a size and adjust
Depending on your specific use, you may need to account for the weight of additional gear or equipment. For example, if you are in law enforcement or the military and wear other tactical gear like holsters, radios, or magazines, make sure the vest size allows for comfortable wear with this equipment.
Sizes for concealed bulletproof and stab-proof vests (PGD DELTA & ULTRA)
If you are ‘between sizes’ then the smaller size will be more easy to conceal but will leave a 1’’ (2,5 cm) in each side without protection. The larger size will overlap, and can be more difficult to conceal.
