The advantage of a 100% HPPE side plate in NIJ level 3 is that it is light weight and can stop impacts that hit close to each other.

Our 100% HPPE plate is designed to stop 7.62×51 NATO, M80 and 7.62×39 MSC, AK47.

The hard armor side plate weighs only 0,45-0,65kg / 1-1.4 lbs, making it the lightest level 3 plate you can get.

Our PGD light weight side plate offers enhanced ballistic protection without significantly adding to the wearer’s load, preserving mobility and comfort. It provides crucial coverage for the sides of the torso, shielding vital organs, while allowing for greater agility in tactical environments. This balance makes it ideal for extended missions. Futhermore it is square cut, single curved and offers a great protection level (NIJ level III).

    Our 100% HPPE side plate comes in a water-repellent cover, which is heat sealed to the plate to protect against liquids such as oil, water etc.
